Water Tricks Part 2
Make water bugs that move across water's “skin”.
You'll need: aluminum foil, scissors, paper clips, glass bowl, cold water, dish soap

1. Cut a few pieces of aluminum foil. They should measure about 2 inches wide by 4 inches long.
2. Place a paper clip in the center of each foil piece. Fold the long sides in half to cover each paper clip.
3.Make two cuts on each side of the foil pieces. Pinch the foil sections to make “legs”.
4. Fill a bowl with cold water. Rest each water bug on the water. If you are careful, you can make them float.
5.
Wait for the water to be still. Carefully add a few drops of dish soap to the center of the bowl, between the bugs. The bugs will shoot across the water! You can repeat this trick with fresh, cold water.
How it works:
Remember water's skin? When you add dish soap to the water, it breaks the skin. Imagine the skin shrinking back toward the edges of the bowl. As it does, it pulls the water bugs with it.
